From World-leading Franchise
April 12, 2001
Indianapolis - Netfor, Inc. an Indianapolis computer technology firm specializing in technical support to franchise networks, was recently honored as the 2000 Vendor of the Year by Mail Boxes Etc., the world’s largest franchisor of independently owned and operated business, communication and post service centers. The award was presented April 11, 2001 to Netfor President/CEO Jeffrey D. Medley at the company’s awards celebration, held in San Diego, CA. Netfor beat out such worthy competitors as Dell and Pitney Bowes. Netfor partnered with Mail Boxes Etc. on a project called Operation Integrity to provide technical support to more than 2500 Mail Boxes Etc. franchise locations. Specifically, the company offers online technical support from its Indianapolis headquarters and onsite support via a network of nearly 100 Affiliated Technology Consultants throughout the nation. The online support involves a screen sharing application that allows the technician to fix the user’s computer from Netfor’s service center in Indianapolis. Since partnering with Mail Boxes Etc., Netfor has solved more than 3,500 Mail Boxes Etc. user issues within eight months. "We greatly appreciate Mail Boxes Etc's recognition of our efforts," said Medley. "This award is possible due to Netfor's primary strength - being able to provide immediate nationwide response to technical issues - is perfectly suited to the needs of a franchise organization the size of Mail Boxes Etc." Mail Boxes Etc. evaluated its vendors on 27 specific qualities including prompt response to emergency requests, courteous customer service and the delivery of service at quoted price. Founded in 1995 by Jeffrey Medley, BSME, Netfor has focused on the technology needs of local, regional and national franchises. The company has 17 employees at its offices, located on Indianapolis' north side.
